I was disapointed to find that Product options against products didn't work as I expected them too, and to make this happen, I had to contract the work back out to the Trading Eye team.I have had the work done, and am happy to make it available for sale here at the low low price of 25 pounds.
Once I have sold this 10 times (recovering HALF my outlay) I will make the modifications available for free, to everyone.
This is how the modification works.
Each product in your store has at least one product option against it.
If the total sum of the product option stock is 0, then display the out of stock message instead of an add to basket button
For example, if you had the following product:
T-shirt with options
[Small (out of stock)]
[Medium (out of stock)]
[Large (out of stock)]
No 'Add to basket' button will be displayed.
In it's place, a 'Sorry Out of Stock' message will be displayed.
If there is stock available, then quantity available should be displayed in the dropdown.
Out of Stock items will have an (out of stock) message in the dropdown, and if they try to add to the basket, will receive the standard 'Sorry this item is out of stock' message on the next screen.
If you set the main product to have stock control NO
Currently, even if you have 0 in stock (sum of your product options) you can quite happily add away and purchase through the store.
If you set set the stock control to YES then you have to manually adjust this every time someone buys something, as it doesn't handle the stock on the options..
